Summer Update

The summer is going well here at HUGSR. It has been blessing to spend the intensive courses with students from afar who don’t get to visit campus very often. Here are a few updates that are relevant for those in Memphis:

Summer Library Hours are here AND course schedules for the fall are here

Stay cool. Have a great summer. See you in August.

Memphis Madness

Be sure to visit the HUGSR group on Facebook to join the HUGSR NCAA Tourney competition. All friends of Harding Grad. are invited to be a part of it. The winners will receive the joy of knowing that they have dominated their peers in a contest of pure luck. Losers will be reminded that it is called “madness” for a reason, and that they were merely innocent bystanders.

New Students

This spring we have a number of new students on campus and around the United States. The class includes students within each of our degree programs, so you will likely see meet some in your classes. The makeup of the class is split three ways between domestic ministry, foreign missions, and counseling. A few students also expressed interest in possibly teaching at the collegiate level. Be sure to take the time to catch up with the new students to ensure that their transition is smooth. If you are a new student, welcome to HUGSR. We hope you have a positive experience.

New Year Reminders

Hope everyone’s 2008 is off to a good start. Here are a few reminders for the Spring semester:

  • New Student Orientation is at 11AM in the Pittman Chapel. From there we will meet for lunch. This is an important session for new students because we will distribute student identification cards. The orientation will end before 1PM
  • Books are available for the new semester. The bookstore will give you everything you need (901 685-7481). If you need your book list, check here.

Welcome

This blog is a student-run platform that services prospective, current, and former students of the Harding Graduate School. The advantage of this format is that it grants a holistic view into the life of a student: personal, spiritual, and academic. On the right margin of the page you will see links to Harding Grad. student blogs as well as other resources that are relevant to student life at HUGSR. Enjoy
